Bevog Brewery To Save 20 Tons of CO2 Per Year with DALUM CO2 Recovery

Bevog Brewery, located near the Austrian-Slovenian border, has taken a major step toward sustainability by installing a DALUM 10 kg/hr CO2 Recovery Plant along with a 5-ton storage tank. By capturing and reusing their own CO2 from fermentation, Bevog is reducing costs and eliminating the need to purchase external CO2, all while significantly lowering their carbon footprint. With this system in place, the brewery is now saving 20 tons of CO2 annually.

Why CO2 Recovery Matters for Breweries

CO2 is an essential part of the brewing process, from carbonating beer to purging tanks. Many breweries rely on externally sourced CO2, which can be expensive and subject to supply chain fluctuations.

By investing in CO2 recovery, breweries like Bevog are not only making their operations more cost-effective but also reinforcing their commitment to environmental responsibility.

Bevog Brewery’s Environmental Initiatives

Sustainability is deeply embedded in Bevog Brewery’s philosophy. In addition to CO2 recovery, they run the Extinction is Forever! campaign, which raises awareness of endangered species. Each of their beer cans features an at-risk species, with a portion of sales donated to environmental organizations. To highlight the irreversible impact of extinction, each beer is released only once and never rebrewed.
