Føroya Bjór Implements CO2 Recovery Technology to Carbonate Soda

Yesterday, the final adjustments were made to Føroya Bjór’s new system, provided by Dalum Beverage Equipment. The system is designed to capture CO2 emissions from beer production at Føroya Bjór.

The new technology is expected to enable the brewery to recover CO2 from beer production and reuse it as carbonation for soda.

According to a press release from Føroya Bjór, this new technology will help ensure that almost no CO2 from the family-owned brewery in Klaksvík will be released into the atmosphere in the future.

Recycling and minimizing production waste have always been integral to Føroya Bjór’s green development plan.

“This new investment is truly a significant step forward on our sustainable path,” states Føroya Bjór in the press release.
