DALUM Equipment offers proven and patented equipment for commercial cider producers. Whether you want to boost efficiency or enhance your cidery’s sustainability, The DALUM CO2 Recovery Plants offer a smart, circular solution tailored to modern cideries. At DALUM we offer small scale systems with a capacity ranging from 1 kg/hr CO2 to over 50kg an hour.
During the fermentation process, cideries naturally release large volumes of CO2 as a byproduct. Cideries later purchases CO2 for use in carbonation, packaging and pressurization. This industrial CO2 is often purchased at an increasing price and with an unpredictable supply.
Recovering CO2 on-site offers a smarter, more sustainable alternative. By capturing, purifying and liquefying the CO2 emitted during fermentation, cideries can use their own recovered CO2 in the production processes. This not only reduces reliance on external suppliers and but also enhances operational efficiency and supports sustainability goals.
The CO2 liquefaction process typically involves four major steps:
Compression: Raw CO2 gas is compressed to increase its pressure, preparing it for cooling and purification.
Cooling: The gas is cooled to near its condensation point, often using refrigeration systems.
Purification and Dehydration: Moisture and impurities such as alcohols or hydrocarbons are removed to meet food-grade or industrial standards.
Liquefaction: At high pressure and low temperature, CO2 is transformed into a liquid, which can then be stored or transported.
DALUM Equipment’s systems are designed to perform these steps with high energy efficiency, minimizing thermal losses and maximizing CO2 recovery yield. The result is a clean, liquefied product ready for reuse or sale.
